Is Patent Abstract of Japan by JAPIO or DWPI enough?
Complete, Fast and Cost Effective JP patent search is now available.
Complete PATOLIS as well as manual searches are available from us. We have all the expertise necessary to take full advantage of the most reliable Japanese database - PATOLIS database - to meet your search requirements.
PATOLIS database is the most advantageous in Japan as a specialized database for Japanese patents and utility models. In particular, full texts patents and utility models can be searched, and retrieval according to Fl or F-term, patent classification terms peculiar to Japan, can be carried out.
Furthermore, Japanese utility models are a rich source of prior art references. Unlike for patents, information on Japanese utility models is not available outside of Japan.
Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI) database is a very well known database, and it contains Japanese patent abstract information. However, there is a time lag for Japanese patents to be recorded, and you can neither conduct full-text searches nor use FI or F-terms.
Database searches are a fast and cost effective way, however in order to have a “complete” result, it is often desirable that specialized Japanese native language searchers perform a page-by-page review of the complete details of Japanese patent specifications and/or descriptions.
NGB IPRI has well-developed search schemes and 25 specialized IP analysts and over 150 searchers specialized in Chemical, Automotive, Electronics and Telecommunication fields. That is the reason why we can provide you with our responsible and tailored search services.
